Quality Control Department, Ms. Y, 2023, Mid-Career Hire

Q. What led you to join the company?
A. Reemployment. Initially, I joined the company after seeing a part-time job posting, as the working conditions—such as hours and pay—suited me. I resigned due to my family’s relocation away from my hometown, but my former supervisor reached out to me, and I returned as a full-time employee after an eight-year absence.
Q. Please tell me about the job responsibilities.
A. I transferred from the General Affairs Department to the Quality Control Department nine months ago and have been primarily engaged in product inspection duties. I use measuring instruments and other tools to verify whether product quality meets standards. Although I was completely unfamiliar with operating measuring equipment, reading drawings, or manufacturing methods, I have gradually become capable of performing the entire inspection process with guidance from knowledgeable and experienced senior colleagues. While this is a department with significant responsibility for maintaining and improving product quality, it is also highly rewarding.
Q. Please tell me how you spend your days off.
A. Since I have middle and high school-aged children, my days are mostly filled with housework and childcare. I also enjoy going out, so my favorite pastimes are visiting cafes, going to hot springs, and attending concerts by my favorite artists.
Q. Please share a message for those who are considering changing jobs or looking for employment.
A. Many employees at ISSI are very approachable. The main reason I returned was because of the positive atmosphere among the staff. When I rejoined, they welcomed me warmly, which made me very happy. Given the nature of the industry, the proportion of women is lower, but I think everyone gets along well regardless of age or gender. Additionally, attendance management and employee benefits are well-established, so work-life balance is excellent.
